"Herrs" Bohdan!

Last night we went to the Herr's Chip factory.

They had a Halloween party there for children 12 and under. So Audrey and Bohdan got dressed in their costumes, which were Dumbo and a duckling, and off we went.

The factory is in Nottingham PA which is about 30 min.s from our house and of course it started to rain as we were packing up to leave, but the event took place mainly inside so although we were cold and wet some of the time it was no big deal. So we all got in the family van for a night of pre-Halloween fun

We arrived and found that many other families had planned the same outting we had, but the more the merrier. I have never been on the tour of the factory before so I really enjoyed myself. Honestly it was the first time Bohdan, Brian and I all enjoyed the same thing. Bohdan was as excited as we were to look at all the machines and belts and whatnots you find in a factory.

Along the tour there were people handing out snack bags for the kids (like trick or treating), by the pretzels we were given pretzels, by the BBQ chips...BBQ chips...etc. At one point they gave everyone WARM potatoe chips! Ummmmm...so good! It was so much fun. They played Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin and had coloring contests, and candy count guess, you know to win the candy if you get the # right. We even got to say hello to "Chipper" and get our picture taken with him. Bohdan was very intersted in looking and smiling at him, but was not too excited to shake his hand. So although we passed on the wet, cold hayride, and got a little rained on during part of the tour, it was a great night and we will go again next year!
